WRAP - Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
The One Lost Ministry® offers WRAP training to those interested in wellness and recovery. This program is personalized wellness and recovery system born out of and rooted in the principle of self-determination. WRAP is a wellness and recovery approach that helps people to: 1) decrease and prevent intrusive or troubling feelings and behavior; 2) increase personal empowerment; and 3) improve quality of life; and 4) achieve their own life goals and dreams. Working with a WRAP facilitator can help individuals to monitor uncomfortable and distressing feelings and behaviors and through planned responses, reduce, modify, or eliminate those feelings. A WRAP also includes plans for responses from others when an individual cannot make decisions, take care of him/herself, and/or keep themselves safe. Email us at admin@theonelost.org for more details and information on the next WRAP training.
Disclaimer: WRAP Training is a wellness program. It is not mental health medical treatment, and its trainers are not licensed medical providers. The program is supplemental and is not a substitute for medical care. If you suffer from physical withdrawal symptoms, suicidal idealization and/or suicidal thoughts, or thoughts about violence towards yourself or others, please seek immediate medical help from a licensed medical provider.
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Christmas Sponsorship
We sponsor families of grandparent led households with children during the Christmas holiday.
Youth Leadership Equine Experiential Learning Program is in partnership with Sincerus Leadership.
I t involves a 5-hour group experiential learning session that promotes leadership development and self-awareness by incorporating horses and equipment. It takes place on a horse farm and caters to youth ages eight through fourteen.
The goal of the program is to create a memorable experience that will inspire each child to be confident and overcome life's challenges. It exposes each child to an environment of horses and the handling and care of horses.
Participants work together and as a result learn to recognize the value of mutual trust, respect, personal integrity, communication, assertiveness, creative thinking, responsibility, confidence, and teamwork. These all help develop exemplary leadership qualities.
Testimonials from two youth:
"It's ok to be afraid. Have the courage to do it afraid. You never know you can overcome until you do it." ~Paris
"You may not always want to do something but when you accept that you need to do it, it's better to go ahead and not fight it." ~Imani
